Other festivals are also involved, including 48 Stunden Neukölln, Classic Open Air, CSD and many more. Among the contributing partners are the Friedrichstadtpalast, Berliner Ensemble, Volksbühne, local galleries, state museums, Berlin’s Central and Regional Library and the Schlesische27 urban project lab. Visitors will be invited to gaze at the stars as part of the Planetarium in the Park and also enjoy productions on city streets by independent artists and performers from Theaterdiscounter and HAU. The event programme of the three-month cultural festival is being designed by Berlin-based cultural institutions and initiatives of all shapes and sizes and will comprise everything from concerts and readings at the beach and in zoos to acrobatic routines on the Holzmarkt and performances by the Berlin State Ballet on a boat. At the waterside, in parks, between skyscrapers, on museum grounds and city streets: the 90 partners contributing to the Kultursommerfestival will transform various sites into stages, screens and dance floors - in every neighbourhood and for all Berliners and guests.

The “main square” in the park at Gleisdreick (eastern part) will be transformed into a charming beer garden for the time of the park festival. You can dance on the lawn and try out yoga, Taji and hula hoop in the Radioeins sports lesson. with Ich & Herr Meyer, drums and trumpets, Suli Pushban and a fairy tale from the witch mountain.
